A picture book in Bhutanese language by Japanese students
Senior High School students in Japan created a picture book in Dzongkha, Bhutanese language. They are Ms. Anzai, Ms. Furusawa, Ms. Miyamoto and Ms. Watanabe who are students at Hirano Senior High School Attached to Osaka Kyoiku University in Osaka, Japan.
They have been conducting research on the theme of protecting endangered languages. They investigated about 2,500 endangered languages (published by UNESCO) and in order to solve this problem, they created a children’s picture book in the Dzongkha.
This research won the best prize in one of the private Japanese contests.
